STAR WARS FANS - SPREAD THE NEWS! Actress Leilani Shiu aka Teeka the Jawa from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi is headed straight from your TV screen to Windsor's Rose City Comic Convention on April 1st! FIRST-EVER CANADIAN APPEARANCE! 

 

Shiu, of Chinese/Cantonese descent, was born in Vancouver B.C. and raised in Santa Paula, California. Leilani is a little person, 4-feet tall and part of “Little People of America" founded by the legendary Billy Barty.

 

Her recurring role as Teeka is a trailblazing one, notable within the Star Wars franchise as the first Jawa ever-credited with its own character name and actress, having extended dialogue and, for the rabid legions of Star Wars collectors - its own figures! 

 

In addition to Teeka, the versatile Shiu has also played other Jawas in the three Disney+ Star Wars series, as well as a Chadra-Fan gambler and other townspeople in various scenes.

 

Leilani is just as excited to meet this area's Star Wars fans as we are excited to meet her! We know everyone is absolutely going to love this amazing woman who is anxiously counting the days to our show - as are we!
